Aniston was born to John Aniston and Nancy Dow in Sherman Oaks, California on February 11, 1969. She’ll be 45 this year. Her sun sign is Aquarius. Her full name is Jennifer Joanna Aniston.

2. Jennifer’s heritage is Greek

Aniston’s heritage is Greek on her father’s side. As a child, she lived in Greece for a year with her parents before moving to Pennsylvania. Her father’s given name is Yannis Anastasakis. He transformed his name upon his move to the United States when Aniston was a toddler.

3. Her father and godfather are actors as well

Acting runs in Aniston’s family. Her father plays Victor Kiriakis on “Days of Our Lives”, a role he assumed in 1985. Her godfather was actor Telly Savalas, most famous for playing the character Kojak in the 1970s crime show by the same name. Savalas’ heritage was of Greek descent as well.
